It was 1950 when Marcello Gori, together with his brother-in-law Silvano Casini, accepted the task of teaching war orphans the art of working leather and hide in what was the Novitiate of the Franciscan Friars, inside the Convent of Santa Croce.
Thus, was born the Scuola del Cuoio, strongly based on the concept of love for one's neighbor and, above all, on the awareness that experience must always be shared.
